The Self Worth Excuse | C&E

English: bud

God doesn’t need me to take care of the environment–plane and simple. He holds the world in the palm of His hand and has entrusted you and I to rule and subdue the earth, but to borrow a line, “with great power comes great responsibility”. God’s attributes are magnified by infinity, thus He is all powerful, everywhere present, all knowing, all sufficient etc. He doesn’t need anything or anybody. He wants you to find your self worth in the fact that He created you and loves you with His entire being. Repeatedly in scripture God tells his children, obedience is better than sacrifice, if you love me you will do what I tell you, etc. God is seeking obedience to His commandments out of love for Him, notout of a vain desire for self actualization.
