The concept of “Straws” came out of long winter conversations out on the parched grass with my friend Kiki Strickland, outside of her flat in Hudson, FL. We philosophized that life is made up of all sorts of materials, but the straw is what tips the balance; it’s a topic that sets a person off on an adventure, it’s the tidbit of wisdom that helps you understand life more fully; this is the heart of One More Straw. I will attempt to break the topics down into the essentials for living life with the same purpose with which I write this blog: clarity, brevity, and life.
Clarity. Brevity. Life.
My goals in blogging are threefold--clarity, brevity, and life.
First, my goal is to be crystal clear in presenting issues that I think deserve to be considered by my readers, either because of their current nature or because of their pertinence to society.
The second is to be brief.
The third goal is to portray life—not as thought about in an ivory tower, but as through the eyes of a twenty-two year old newlywed who is ever vigilant not to shut his eyes on reality.
Clarity—brevity—life, that is all that needs to be said.
